I don't claim to be the world's greatest modeler, nor do I claim that how I do models is the best possible way. In fact, I would gratefully accept all suggestions to try out, and I'll post those I think are useful to others here, together with an acknowledgement to the author. This section is really about passing on experience - I've included things I've tried and found useful, some I've read about, some I've been shown by other modelers and some I've just thought up by myself. They might not be the best way, and they might not work for everyone, but they do for me!
