NOTES: Next for the lens was this MiG-3, which I finished to send to SAMI after the magazine had asked for more review team members. The yellow colouring of the model was from the Humbrol gloss coat put down for decal application - I've not used it since. This was also the first model I used pastels on for weathering, and I was very pleased with the results. The model has a number of accuracy problems, and the canopy is a terrible fit, a problem I didn't rectify as I'd already painted the model (a case of bad planning and not dry-fitting). I did try to fill the gap with white glue, but this shrinks back and still left a gap (I've since found that several applications solve this problem), which is clearly visible at the rear of the port canopy (one of the reasons for a starboard shot here!).
