A) Shady Spot

About as simple as they come, this started as an experiment in using air-drying modelling clay and tree-making. I filled the a small square lid with the former and stippled the surface with a toothbrush to give it some texture. When dry I removed it from the lid and added the tree trunk/branches formed from twisted electrical wire before spraying. As the edges looked rather odd and were getting chipped as the base got shifted about, I put it in this small picture frame and filled in the surrounding gaps with more clay, stippled again and left to dry. I also added foliage on the tree with proprietary material. The drying of the clay has caused some cracking and pulling away from the frame, which I intend to remedy with white glue before spraying and adding static grass, and a small fighter with air and/or ground crew.
